morning all

anyone put or planning to put any bets on the sweatfest at the US PGA?

I had quite an amusing chat with one of the photographers out there who said "don't bet on anyone over 9 stone as they'll struggle to get round!" He also commented that unlike normal events where the caddie gets 10% or the winnings at the US PGA it should be 90%

being what can only be described as a 'big lad' I dont think I'd be in contention!

My money is on the suitably slim Stewart Cink

finally a small plug for our US PGA blog which Iain Carter of BBC Five Live is writing this week - highly recommended

Romero's fearless but you can't look past Tiger. It's his last chance to win a major this year and he'll be focused.

KJ Choi's having a good year as is Justin Rose so I fancy an each way bet on those two.

Is Monty playing? - God help us all!

I think VJ is overdue a big win, heat wont bother him being Fijian and he is long. If he can putt this week I'd look out for him.

How about Ernie, he's overdue and always contends ?

If the last round is as fractionally exciting as the open I will be happy.

It's not looking good for many of us so far, is it?

I'm getting gubbed here! What happened to Romero? His first round score read like one of mine on a bad day. Help me Eldrick Wan Kinobe...you're my only hope.
