Definitely the BBC tune - and the clipped tones of Peter Alliss. How else can you watch the masters. I hope I'm long dead before Setanta get live rights!
Who's idea was it to suggest Tara's theme from gone with the wind... Nearly re-gurgitated my lunch, it was so sickly.
The BBC Golf theme is a classic, but so dated in todays market, you might as well have had Whitesnake's Buck Rodgers music...rofl.
As for the Masters Theme, talk about boring.
Here's my suggestion Mercury Rev 'Dark is Rising'.
Found this whilst looking for the Poldark theme tune.
"And now the creek is rising...
And all my bridges burnt...
I always dreamed of big crowds...
Plooms of smoke and high clouds...
But dreams don't last for long...
I have my suspicions...
When the stars are in position...
All will be revealed...
But I know that until then...
Unless the stars surrender...
All will be concealed...
And now the snow is falling...
And all my fences torn...
I know you need someone...
And I can hear someone...
Somewhere in this song...
I dreamed that I was walking...
And the two of us were talking...
Of all lives mysteries...
But words that flow between friends...
Winding streams, without end...
I wanted you to see...
But it can seem surprising...
When you find yourself alone...
And now the dark is rising...
And a brand new moon is born..."
I don't know if i'm on about the same thing, but...
red button had an interview with Seve in their coverage last night and you could hardly hear what he was saying because the background music was that sodding loud
Got to be the Classic Beeb theme.
Sitting there on a Thursday evening (avec bottle of beer and a fajita) and then listening as that theme tune starts up certainly makes me realise each year that THIS is the start of the golf season. Bring it on...
