Uruguay Legalise The Wacky Backy

I used to smoke alot of cannabis resin in my youth, stopped when #1 child came along as I could reconcile being completely lazy with being a dad.My mates still do smoke grass and from what I can gather the strains they get nowadays compared to the stuff I smoked is night and day...the thc levels are quite incredible.

I've also seen what it can do to people and their mental health, but I've also witnessed the same with bevvy and given we're talking about adults (I hope!) I reckon legalising it is sensible, for a number of reasons.I can recall going into the worst areas of Edinburgh to buy drugs, getting ripped off, hastled, robbed and sold crap low quality merchandise.Remove all those obstacles and create a tax revenue (I'd want it ringfenced to help addicts) makes sense.

Legalising to get better gear is a good manifesto haha! I previously wouldnt go too far down Leith walk, certainly wouldnt be going down Niddrie or anything.

As Irvine Welsh aptly said 'drugs are great, but the f""k you up'

Bad idea. It is a psycho-active substance and causes major mental issues in plenty of people. I would rather see cocaine legalised. Less harmful in my view.

Legalise all drugs, people indulge regardless of the legality of it. I couldn't give a crap what people want to do to their own bodies in their own homes; what I do give a crap about is someone stealing my possessions in order to feed their habit.

Make it legal, from approved sources only, at a cost that seriously undercuts the illegal supply and you also then have a revenue stream.

Cannabis doesn not seem, to me, any worse than Alcohol or Tobacco, so no problem with legalising it.

Don't see how they are going to police the quantity limit effectively.

Don't think it will help them 'tackle the Drug Cartels'.

As someone who enjoys the bevvy, stopped smoking 1 year ago last week and used to smoke dope, in my opinion, dope is the 3rd worst on that list, peeve and fags are so much more deadly.imo.

Grading drugs is dangerous IMO

I know of someone who killed themselves as cannabis pickled their brain, whilst at the same time I know a handful of weekend cocaine users of 10yrs who have never had an ill-effect

Its all a dodgy area
