Urgh... Fat shots are killing my game

As it was raining yesterday I went to the range to work on straightening out my plane (my misses have been blocks or hooks, both of which come from in-to-out swinging) and I was hitting it like an absolute dream. Much straighter, good consistent strikes.

So looking forward to going out tonight with the changes in mind, I pushed my first shot. Never mind, always likely to happen with any changes. Next up though I hit a massive chunk. Not looking great. Next tee I clipped it beautifully, and then chunked my second. And so started a worrying trend, each par 4 and 5 I'd hit a nice tee shot then would chunk my second. Took me until the last before I could hit a clean iron off the deck.

Hoping its just getting used to a slightly different swing, but god it was annoying.

I had a couple of fats the other day first time in ages, must have moved back on my backswing

Really hurt my back though so I don't wanna be hitting too many of them

It might be that you are focussing on a hitting at the ball too much rather than swinging through the ball.

A swing thought that helps me is to think whatever you go back you go thru ie, 3/4 swing back , 3/4 swing through.

Ok, here's the swing video

Had plenty of fats again tonight - so had a pause on the 3rd, looked at this video and I think I worked out what I was doing wrong. Interested to hear what anyone else thinks though.

Good swing that, just get your hands more forward into impact so you aim for a point with your hands to the left of your chin (in front of your left thigh) at impact rather than under your chin.
