I will try hard to to swear in this post...

My irons have been away since last Wednesday to be reshafted, they were due for pickup on Tuesday last week but Parcel Farce were late picking them up, a day late!

The club fitter has done his job and booked them with UPS to get them picked from him on Wednesday, they did not come till Thursday... there is a trend there somewhere.

I have just had a call from UPS to say they have lost my parcel and are unable to track it after 3 this morning in Tamworth. No sorry, no we will sort it... just we have lost it...

I would quite like to punch someone, anyone really, failing that I would like a little cry.

Motherf.................

I am so so angry. I am a big boy and aware that my frustration will not help but wow I am pissed!!!!!

I have no idea what my recourse is to be honest...

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

That's a mare mate!

Is the parcel insured for any specific value or anything?

Shows how useful their tracking service is.

Really hope they manage to find them for you.

Like you, I would be raging and probably screaming down a phone right now.

Are you covered by the insurance? They are banged to rights if they can't find them and I would go for compensation as well!

Sorry to hear, poor show.

They were sent by the fitter so I don't have any information at the moment, I would hope they are insured!! I just don't know...

Either way you'll be able to get compensation from someone.....
IF the Fitter sent them insured then UPS should pay-up, if he sent them uninsured you may have to chase him down.

Not good - looks like someone had an idea what was in the box and helped themselves.
It may be worth keeping an eye on eBay to see if any 53's in your spec come on the market.....

Email from the fitter....

Alex,

Really sorry for this hassle, just spent 15mins on phone to UPS complaining about such a poor service, area manger calling me Monday regarding this matter, also my retail group TGI, just off phone to them also, not sure what I can do, apart from saying sorry, never had this problem with UPS before, I receive parcels from many parts of the world and have never had this problem,

I will somehow try and compensate your for this, again really sorry about this

Once I have some info I will let you know

Sorry

Scott Gourlay

I feel he will do his bit if the s*** hits the fan for real and there is not way back... i hope...

From everything I've heard, Scott does good bidnis, so I'm sure it will get sorted.

You never know, you might get a new set of shiney's out of it!

Baggsy your old set if you end up getting two sets back eventually! :D ;)

He is clearly a good guy and came recommended by a forum member, you can see by the tone of his email that he gives a toss and that is a rare thing. I was going to say it does not help my mood right now but it actually does. I just really don't want to deal with UPS. I was meant to receive a call back from them 15 mins ago and so it begins...

They have prob miss routed to the wrong depot somewhere and some monkey is scratching their head wondering why they have it! They usually turn up when the heat is turned up a notch. My Belfast depot once lost the front facia of a train!! Now this thing was massive as you can imagine, turned up in the overseas bay as it had Chinese writing on it!! Que rants of "it says India on my tyres but they are not going there" etc. hope you get them back soon!

Im sorry but thats just unacceptable, how on earth can you lose a whole set of golf irons?!?! Hassle them as much as you can, chase them up until you get them back, and if they are well and truly lost them make sure you are very well compensated...

OMG AL sorry to hear, if they are lost for good though where there's blame there's a claim (and a new set of shinys!!!)

Not much help I expect but short term if you want to borrow my x-forgeds you're welcome albeit I know the shafts wont be ideal for you

Keep us upto date with what happens

Ok. Most couriers that I have dealt with have standard insurance of £10 per kilo. Now also take into account that most companies offer flate rates or 25 or 30 kg for say £7 overnight, you could be covered by between £250-£300 , it depends how Scott has sent them in regards to declared weight. For this reason I used to book everything at 29kg to ensure all parcels had £290 insurance. Your going to need to speak with Scott on this

Now what I will say is although it's traceable, it's not fail safe. Dpd/interlink, ups and city link are the better ones, but it's not fail safe and I do know of parcels going missing, it seems the common thing is for drivers to put them on the van without scanning them so they get "lost at depo". Dhl, FedEx and business post are the worst.

I have had several long conversations with them, they have been as unhelpful as I expected. The new story is that they are on a broken down truck. Every person you talk to has a conflicting set of information from the last which makes me very suspicious. It was clear that nothing I said was going to make them move any faster and there absolutely remorseless attitude was seriously grating on me "we will endeavour to call you back". Don't kin endeavour... DO IT!!!

It not good for my health to deal with these people.

Whilst it's frustrating that they've not turned up yet, I'd say they've mislaid them at the moment and not yet lost them ;)

Given that every item has to scanned at the various waypoints on the route, the package will turn up fairly quickly I'm sure.

I wouldn't panic.... not until a few days have passed anyway.

I am saving all out panic until tommorow evening, if there is no update by then I'll be upset!!

Just remember there's been bad weather this weekend, they'll play that card as a way to claw back time. I had to wait an extra week back in 2010 as stuff went awol during bad weather in early December. Turned up eventually, but I was certainly a bit hacked off when it did get here.

Better make sure I pick up my bat if I order it from Scott on Thursday!

Fingers crossed.

It seems he is part of a buying group that are rather respected by UPS. The UPS lady talked about them with some respect so I guess that are pretty big. " We deliver hundreds of packages to and from them every day, we know that customer very well." I would have to say Scott has been extremity good at keeping in contact with me throughout the proses, I am 100% sure this is just a bad luck story and that he is a good guy!

That said, if you live close I would pick up... I don't like carrier companies at all, in fact I don't like large companies at all!
