Up-dating my Samsung Galaxy S

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know what I'm (if anything) doing wrong. My phone was playing up on Tuesday so I phoned O2, only to be told that I needed to update through my computer. The app I have downloaded to my computer is Samsung Kies. It is telling me that my phone is up to date, but the girl from O2 said that there have been 2 pdates since I bought my phone.
Any ideas would be great! Thanks
