I'm England through and through but tonight was quite frankly and embarrassing display from these so called football superstars.

The build up given by the media suggested a whitewash. In reality what we witnessed was a very below par performance from an England team that many seemed couldn't be arsed to play. Yeah, we got the goal in the 1st half. After that they just clammed up.

Wales were desperately unlucky not to get an equaliser which they frankly deserved. They pressed forward with national passion and pride. Only a brilliant save from Hart and Earnshaws inability to finish saved England's blushes.

4th best team in the world? Definitely not after tonights performance.

Totally inept and had Earnshaw doen what he does regularly at club level then it wouldn't have been undeserved and they might even have gone onto win

I think the FA should worry about the lack of crowd? A European qualifying match and they could not even sell it out. The way we played tonight and the debacle in South Africa is the reason why I have have lost so much interest in our national team

The best team lost.

BUT Earnshaw's miss was inexcusable and Hart's one handed save was world beating and kept England in it.

Other than that, mostly uninspired rubbish from both teams.

Nice to see Forest's Gunter hold his own against the big boys though.

topping the group by six points, they must be doing something right, wont be able to tell if they have learned anything from south afica until the finals next year, no quality in the midfield tonight, a fully fit team would have hammered them tonight, still got gerrard and wilshere to come back in, unfortunately the rest of the midfield is the best we have, you cant polish a turd

I thought Ramsey was superb last night, he made Milner, Barry and Lampard look like the journeyman they really are.

personally I blame the Japanese, they've been opposing international law for years and if they're not careful they'll be none of these beautiful creatures left
