Unimaginative names

Having witnessed former PGA Tour star and Tiger's chum, Notah Begay III, progress to within a hair's breadth of a European Tour card over the past few days, it got me thinking about how unimaginative some American parents seem to be when naming their offspring! Davis Love III, Tommy Armour III, Charles Howell III, Frank Lickliter II. Do these people have no imagination or access to baby-naming books. "What shall we call the little fella?" "I know, what about Davis, just like me and my father before me."

Yes a fair point. At least each person would have a different number. It has got to be better than being a junior for your entire life like Ray Floyd Jnr or Tom Pernice Jnr. My parnets were equally unimaginative so I speak from experience of having been tarred with the junior tag and still at 25 on returing to the course where I took up the game I am referred to as Junior.

Anyone got any ideas on when this will end!

My favourite US name is Brett Quigley. Should always be said in the style of Dwayne Dibley from Red Dwarf.
