Uneasy membership limbo

So my membership at Ashford has lapsed & my new membership application has had to go to a vote.

30 members of this club. Only 2 spaces up for grabs and 4 applicants. Voting closes Friday. I've 3 friends who are members, my company COO is a member and he has two friends who are members. So I'm hoping for at least 6 votes, only thing is the COO is on holiday in the USA and i'm not sure if he's reading his emails or text (i've sent both) If not that's three votes I could miss out on.

I went to play with the members Sunday tagging on the back of their comp round so I hope to have two votes from the blokes I played with!

Nervous times, if I don't get in here not sure what I'll do??

I can see why you left Ashford though.... Their subs year runs 1st April to 31st March

They currently have an promotional advert on the website for the following:
"Membership offer available NOW - pay for 12 months membership NOW and this will take you through to 31st March 2018!"

Maybe I'm just missing what the offer is

Not exclusive, the opposite in fact, Littlestone Artisans Club. They're limited to 30 members so not to intrude on the full club members too much. Cracking deal if I get it, £500 a year, 22 comps, 6 home and away matches against other Artisans clubs and Artisans Association matches away. Limited tee booking slots but times that suit me perfectly, all comps go out between 730-830 at the weekends and can play weekdays after 1pm, pretty much any time through the winter months. I met them all Sunday, 26 turned out for the comp and they all seemed like fun, very relaxed, nice little clubhouse with their own honesty bar, everyone has a key to the clubhouse and it can be used anytime.

That's been around since the start of the year and has been run for a couple of years, I guess they need to update the website more often. The year my friend and dad joined they got 15 months for the price of 12, only thing was the course was closed for 2 of those months!

Yeah I get it,

I enjoy looking at the different clubs/courses when forum members mention them in posts so its just a bug bear for me when web-sites don't get updated

(although Littlestone haven't done their fixtures etc since 2015!)

I agree shocking really when it's a portal for attracting people to come and join or pay & play.

Also trying to join a decent local course, 5 on the waiting list including me, I know 4-5 members and also take lessons with the head pro so hopefully that should swing it! Just got to wait for the email..
