Ugly Duckling

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... or are some things just too ugly?

Thought we could have a thread where we post pics of the clubs/gear that really are ugly ducks (even if they perform like swans)

I'll start with a club but you can nominate other golf gear too such as bags, trollies etc but suggest we keep clothing out as it might open up too wide a remit

The Carizma Pod driver... ugliest club I ever saw. I know someone who has one and swears by it... Unfortunately, his swing is just as ugly, and he uses that for the rest of his game.

I agree, it is a strange looking thing.

The Cleveland driver with the duck's bill style scoop in the back was ugly, but I used one for a while and loved it.

I'm not keen on anything with a combination of contrasting colours. Like the Mizuno EZ range. Bright orange to go with Mizuno's beautiful trademark royal blue and white. No thank you.

I've seen some fair old ugly duckling player on the course too. There re was a bloke on the course who clearly modelled himself on John Daly. Overweight, bleach-blonde mullet and Loudmouth clothing. As legendary as Long John is, I can't understand why anyone would model themselves on him.
