Just in a break I was watching QF England Mexico. England player got 2nd yellow and sent off for a total accident. Tournament is using video technology but ref didn't even use it. I can't understand that ref was that sure of the incident and consequences that the video wasn't reviewed so what's the point. Sorry no link

Just mentioned that as it was a 2nd yellow it might not allow the ref to review, however as that results in a red I think the ref should still be allowed to review the situation to ensure it's the correct one

Similar to when Ramos went down and got the Juve player sent off in the final.

Football needs to get with the times and use more technology. In a game with a reputation for cheating (diving, feigning injury, claiming corners etc.) I cant get why the powers that be don't try and sort it out.

One thing, I would bring in immediately is where the clock is stopped by the referee for 'injuries', injuries, substitutions, free kicks etc. Then play the 90 minutes and a hooter goes to signal the end of the game.
