well, wee Corey has named Tom Lehman, Jeff Sluman, Davis Love and Paul Goydos as his vice-captains. I think Lehman and Love will certainly add a bit of backbone and a bit of bite to his backroom team and as a result his playing team. Both were winners in their day. Sluman I'm not too sure about and I know very little about Goydos other than he was a tour regular for a good number of years.

Forgetting Lehmans past transgressions in 1999 or whenever, I think he (Pavin) has made some pretty astute appointments on the whole.

C'mon now Monty, get your thinking cap on, we need a good backroom staff to match up to the opposition.

The USA have 300,000,000 inhabitants - the UK has 60,000,000. Not too sure how many inhabitants Ireland have but I'm sure it's not 240,000,000 so it's only fair to include Europe. Also, it means that Scotland and Wales can actually appear in a meaningful international sporting event.....

I do agree that it's all got a bit out of hand though.....

The Scots should try and get the 2050 World cup. They could co-host it with Norway.....

Mind you, by 2050 they might have produced a decent player.....

Pavin on the face of it has gone for a really good back room team. I watched some of the press conference, and Love and Goydos will be playing practice rounds with most of the potential players to given Pavin an idea of how their games are going.
I think 4 is the magic number. One to watch each match and report back honestly to the captain, so he can make the right decisions.
Come on Monty pull your finger out! He definitely needs one vice captain ? assistant based in the USA to keep an eye on Donald, Casey, Rose, Laird, Mcilroy etc...

Totally agree...

There should be one captain and possibly a vice captain (in case of unforseen accident) and that's it.

Maybe 4 vice captains is for passing the buck?
