ESPN are reporting Fury has failed a drugs test, tested positive for cocaine in his urine sample.
Likely to lose his belts as well.

Hope it's true so they can get rid of this eejit and his huge chip on his shoulder and let A.Joshua have a crack at unifying the belts, Fury is tedious and a boring watch, doesn't even want to fight or train. Has become embarassing for boxing having him as champ imo. Fury is like the bad old days of heavyweights pre Tyson where they fought 1x per year and it was ponderously slow and unathletic.

Why should Joshua get a crack at unifying? He ended up fighting for his title by a technicality. I'm not a Fury fan by any stretch but to call him boring when Joshua is the most dull man in the sport, is laughable.

If this turns out to be true then he should be stripped. He's done himself no favours and has wasted a brilliant opportunity in my opinion.

If true, then yes he should be stripped of the titles, if I am not mistaken Fury can be made interim champion, which would mean the others could fight for the titles and then if Fury is in the clear he would get first crack.

I am not a Fury fan but he has done everything he said he would and you can not fault him for that.

So the guy who beat the undisputed champion is embarrassing for boxing, but the 15 fight novice who picked on the weakest belt holder in the division and had not fought any top 10 ranked opponent deserves the chance to unify?

Casual fans logic right there................

He is embarassing .......just about every time he opens his mouth, casual fan logic or not. So Fury beat a 40 year old on points, hardly scintillating, he's in the same league as Valuev, just uses sheer size and reach to grapple his way to wins, yes it's a method but an awful method for the viewer.....imo

He's always struck me as an accident waiting to happen in the way he speaks and conducts himself and so if true wouldn't come as any great shock. As a casual boxing fan, he hardly excites me in the ring and so personally, I wouldn't see it as a great loss for the sport if he is banned

So if Joshua fights Wlad and beats him it won't prove anything because he's 40 and past it?

If you're asking is a 30 year old Klitschko a tougher proposition than a 40 year old Kiltschko for Joshua the answer is yes, still a good fighter and a proper champion but past it yes.
Since when did a boxing match prove anything, its just business like all pro sports and with 4 or 5 versions of the same belt knocking about boxing is abut the worst sport for hangers on and agents running the show for big bucks.

Eh? I didn't ask that.

I get your point about the different organisations however most know who THE man is at each weight class regardless of who the other belt holders are. And that's all that Joshua is currently, a belt holder.

When Wlad was 30 he got knocked out by two journeymen in Lamont Brewster and Corrie Sanders and had already been knocked out a few years previously by Ross Purity........another journeyman. Wlad was 1/10 on to beat Fury and considered in his prime after destroying Pulev and Povetkin in recent fights. Your perception as a "viewer" has nothing to do with the facts, comparing Fury to Valuev shows a lack of knowledge and understanding of the sport.

AJ is a belt holder who is wonderfully managed, he may end up having a great career but as of yet he has not fought anyone ranked inside the top 20. Sky sports may tell you he is the best in the world but just remember where his belt came from..............Fury

I don't like Boxing, I don't understand why anyone would but that's me...
To a complete outsider, Fury is a liability to the sport.
Every time he opens his mouth he spouts such rubbish that I switch off.
You don't need him.

So you didn't like it when he dressed up as batman for the press conference?

It's the perfect easy out for Fury it doesn't appear that he wants to fight again so it's better to go failing a social drugs test than being branded a coward for dodging a fight.

Agree with every word!

Just released in a rather expletive laden message on Twitter that he has retired from professional boxing.

Can't say as I care if I'm honest.
