Not much point to this thread but we thought it was pretty extraordinary so I thought I'd share.

On a short par 4 yesterday, me and my mate both hit drives that we pushed to the right a bit. He hit his after mine, and I said "looks like you're over there with me". Didn't know how right I was until we got there though...

Anyone ever seen two drives closer together than that?? :D

Nearest Ive come is playing with podge and bluewolf. 16th hole at eccleston park is around a 170 odd par 3. I knock mine to about about 9 inches, turn to Danny and say get inside that! He duly did and knocked it to around a midges thingy.. One more roll an it was in!

I'll have to dig the picture out but I may win this one.

Probably 5 years ago I was playing Haigh hall and both my and my pp pushed our drives right just in the first cut.

The went a big old distance and we remarked 'social' as you do.

Walked up and the were literally touching each other. My ball was about half an inch further away from the hole, just resting against his.

He marked his and I played first. I hooked it over the green if memory serves....

Was quite a strange one

Yesterday evening out by myself I hit two balls to our par 3 168yd 13th - they ended up 2" apart. And I can't really put it down to consistency - just luck.

One time myself and my 4 ball were playing our 10th, short par 4 with an iron off the tee for 3 of us. All four tee shots landed within about 2m squared, could have thrown a blanket over them. We all play off very different handicaps and hit different clubs.

I was practicing on the course one late evening (slaps wrist) and hit 5 drives off the tee.

Walked up to find them all in a nice little group across the fairway. Would have taken any one of them in a comp.

Wasn't long after that I shot my PB round.

Doubt I could do that now.

A PP put his ball ( 2nd shot) at the side of the bell on our fourth, it was in grass about a foot deep around the base of the bell. Smashed his ball out and two balls came out. His ball was sat on top of another. 😳 Which we/ he had not noticed.

not an uncommon thing to happen.

i can do better than that, i hit an identical shot off the 16th every week in a medal. Straight right;)

i suspect there is a pile of Pro V 1's all sitting next to each other in a neat pile in the middle of the gorse.

Or some intrepid ball salvager had a lucky day when he looked down there.

Talking of which, there's a guy at Dean Wood (near Wigan) who pops out of the bushes all over the course asking if you want to buy some balls. Both times I have played there he seems to follow our group (No idea why!!) and is a right pain in the backside.

Can do you three together.

There was only about 4feet between the ball in the fore ground to the two at the back and only about 1 foot between the two at the back.
