Two club lengths.

Me and my dad were watching the golf yesterday and when Mickelson hit his approach shot under some stairs. I said that if someone with a belly putter or a long putter, like Adam Scotts, would they be able to use that club to take the two club lengths?

I know it may sound like a stupid question as obviously the putter is still a club, but using a putter such as Adam Scott's wouldn't that give them a larger distance?

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Yes they can.

And really it's only a few inches longer than his driver so it's not going to make a huge difference.

It just seems so much longer on the TV, guess because the putter's upright.
