I've not really got this whole Twitter / fb thing, or really understood it tbh. Always thought of it all as folks wanting to be some kind of psuedo celeb. Ie it's me, me, me all the time.

And yet I find myself downloading The Twitter app on my iPhone??

I guess in an effort to see if my prejudices are right, to see what all the fuss is about and to hopefully keep up to date with what 'everyone' else is using.

So my question is. Who's worth following? Who's funny, incitful, witty, sartyrical (sp). Let's see if this twitering stuff is all it's cracked up to be. Though tbh I don't plan on trying to gain any followers.

As a rare fb post of mine said earlier today.

I'm building a hot wheels race track for my son. But who really gives a toot!!

I avoid the whole twitter thing. I would be perfectly interested in the tweets of certain people, but like facebook I find the "I've just bought some broccoli LOL" just a joke, actually not a joke, pathetic and sad.

I get messages to my facebook account about how someone has done this and that. I couldn't give a Friar Tuck.

OK, so a forum like this can be a bit like "I bought some balls/clubs (brocolli?!)" but we're all here because it's our hobby, and we share a common interest. That's why I don't take the proverbial, nor expect to get it in return.

Never Facebooked, Beboed, Myspaced ot Twittered.
Don't plan on doing so either.

There's way to many people with too much time on their hands. Its all I can do to keep up with this forum!

Ditto me.
I was in the forefront of the computer revolution but now I have my PC and a basic mobile phone which lives in my car, switched off.

I'm not a massive user, it comes into it's own during big events, such as sporting events, and the like. Even the election, it was more interesting following that via Twitter than the tele!!

Yes, there is a lot of 'I'm having Brocolli for tea' and I admit I slip into that on occasions, but usually just use if for bigger events.

Same for Facebook, I din't use it to control my life but it is great for sharing info with friends and family who are not close.

I would probably not use either if I couldn't access them on my phone though.
