Twilight golf in York Area

Hi

can anyone recommend reasonably priced courses around York that are decent tracks?

Reason being, in August playing Fulford on a Monday and have about 2hr40mins drive to get there. So, I am toying with the idea of having a steady drive up there Sunday morning, tee off somewhere on a twilight deal Sunday afternoon and stay over so I've got a short drive Monday.

Have a look at Aldwark Manor. Decent track and has very little traffic. I played there after work one night last year and my game was the one on there. 2 ball took 2h 45min

Ganton!! £45 twilight rate from 4pm . About 45 mins from York and worth every inch of the drive

Depending on date I could possibly sign you in at mine decent course and few locals think It compares with fulford not completely convinced with that myself but can't argue with CR idea, ganton is top notch and more than worth £45!
Other think is get booked up hotel early they aren't cheap at best of times let alone during school hols.

Thanks guys for the info. Looked at Ganton but could only see twilight offered on weekdays.
Strensall is a definite maybe.
Sunday 2nd August is the target so thanks to tip about school hols and booking.

Ganton don't do twilight on a weekend, if they did they would be booked solid.

We paid £45 twilight rate on a Sunday evening at Ganton about 2 years ago? Might be worth giving them a bell and asking.
