At what point do you think this starts to have a severely negative effect on the TW brand? My own view is that this situation is at that point. The bevy of blond bimbos is stacking up now and I would bet that there are 5-10 more that are going to surface too and this is bound to affect his standing amongst golf fans. Even the die hard "Tiger can do no wrong" posters on this forum must surely be having the odd doubt by now?

Personally, I have always thought that as a person, he was utterly dull and latterly, arrogant, rude and disrespectful. These latest revalations add some other adjectives to my opinion!

He is going to be remembered as one of the greatest golfers ever of course but also as a pathetic failure of a husband.
 
You know what the really sad thing about all of this is...

This is happening all over the world and due to the celebrity obsessed culture we live in, no thought is given to the many 1000s of other women and men that are going through the same as Tiger Woods wife right now. I also don't see much mention about how the kids are affected in this either. It's still all about Tiger Woods, where as it should really be about his wife and family and what hell they are going through.

There is no way that this can't fail to damage the tiger brand and it wouldn't be surprising to see sales of TW Nike stock fall over the next few months. Wether it will have a long term damaging effect we'll have to wait and see.
 
This is not relevant to the celebrity obsessed culture that you mention and I agree exists. Wondering who some bird from Hollyoaks is shagging is simply not the same as a sex scandal involving one of the world's most recognisable sporting stars who has built a brand based on a clean cut, family guy image.

Like it or not the TW story is news.

I agree though. THe obsession with celebrities and their lives is a particularly awful trait of UK society.

There is significant cash to be had for the kiss & tell story and this bandwagon is at full steam.

The spongers see this as a fast buck just like the compo brigade!! Do you remember Heston Blumethal's restaurant had that food poisoning thing that lasted for one night. There were about 2,500 people who claimed to have got food poisoning from there when the place only did 150 covers for the day!!!

Pity you if you are buying all of these stories.

And to be honest they aren't special people. If i was tiger i'd set my stanards a bit higher... and i reckn he does if you know how he plays his golf.
 
Di Stewart is not Scottish. I know that the Telegraph article says 'british' but I have read elsewhere that we are looking for a scot.

Given the state of some of the other - alleged - mistresses, I wouldn't rule out SuBo!!!

As for the Scottish Mistress, my money was on Hazel Irvine.......or Doogie Donnelly!
