As a fully paid on Woods fanboy I decided to get all Coverted up as a reward for breaking 90. Clubs have arrived and had to rounds and I gotta say they are brilliant. I wanted nike clubs when I picked the game up but found all their irons hideous. Apart from their blades but I wasn't about to try and use them when I started out!

i had a fitting at a popular retail agent. I took a few of my clubs to for a direct comparison having heard of their tricks that appear to have been employed in regards to convincing you your current clubs in inferior. It was a toss up between some AP's and the coverts. It wasn't even close to be honest. Both performed similarly but I wanted the coverts so scoured the web, found the full set now in my sig for a bargain. They arrived Monday, I've been out twice and they're superb! I know it's new club syndrome and they'll bite back soon enough, but for anyone who maybe doesn't fancy nike as a brand I would just say don't wrote them off. I got mine with Graohite shafts, so I expect they're increasing my swing speed which is in turn giving me extra distance. But the clubs just feel great. The driver has a tighter dispersion than my old long irons!! The 5 woods is the first woods I've been confident with from the fairway.

Ive played 2 rounds since and hit 89 both times. Second round I must of hit 3 good putts all day! Any ways, I'm gonna sign of and clean the clubs! Just need to find some wedges!!

I had the Nike VR Pro driver and loved it until I split the face from the body. Wouldn't think twice about trying out another one when I upgrade the D2 but for the moment that isn't going anywhere!

Ask a silly question but if Tiger Woods moved to Ping would you do the same?

Not at all/ Like i said i grew up being a fan so had always wanted some. If i was just gonna buy them blindly though then my first set would have been Nike. Like i said, i hit the coverts as well as any other, They were also a hell of a lot cheaper than i could source the ap's (£500 for the whole lot).

Although I don't see a problem with buying things froma fans perspective. If i were a fan of Palermo i'd happily don their silly pink footy shirt everyweek.

I loved the look of the covert hybrid. But having hit a few baskets with one I decided against it. It just felt dead. Hit the sldr hybrid today and that thing is a beast

Each to their own I guess, to be fair with the latest developments The SLDR must be a good 50 yards long'ier than my previous burners.

I absolutely hate the look of nike clubs , but it's what makes us love the game , however if I do go for a new driver early next year I will hit the nike 1 and see which has the best results

Well, i spotted them on Ebay. The listing was for a pga pro in Jersey (uk) So called him and number was valid, checked his vat number too. So sent my uncle who lives on the island to have a look. All had serial numbers on and shop was legit so he bought them and brought them over as was visiting the following weekend. Was £400 for bag and all clubs except the driver which he added for £100.
