TV - What Are You Watching?

We've just finished watching it. Deeply disturbing and hard to watch. And nobody in The Met had any real action taken against them. The final statistic on the closing credit is even more disturbing,

We've just finished it and I hope we've improved in the 20 years since it was set.

The dismissive police attitude, even that oif the specialist liaison were poor in their approach to each victim and more an attitude shift than training is required in such circumstances.

Death Valley, set in Wales so, of interest to me.
Timothy Spall so, of interest to me.
Half the cast of Gavin and Stacey, so....
Don't recall S1 but, after half an hour my wife and I thought Death in Paradise already has a bad spin off, why another?

Jack Ryan, Ghost War on Amazon. Technically a film but it's streaming only. Poor, lazy story, lots of cliches. Quite a bit of dodgy green screen filming as well 😳. A scene with Ryan and Greer on a park bench when they clearly are not actually on location, not being filmed at the same time.

I haven’t watched it yet but you’re the 2nd person I’ve seen give such a review. It’s a sad ending if that is the case as the tv series were excellent, and the books are brilliant.

Same when they did the John Clarke origin film with Michael B Jordan, wonderful book horrific screen adaptation.

I watched that last week so much of it that had me smiling but it was just what I wanted a film that did not exert the brain.

Secret Government meetings at Greenwich lol (not the the yanks are likely to spot that one)

Outlander.

Heard a lot about it, but not seen any.
Bought the dvd boxed set series 1-7.

Me 'n 'er will be on episode 4 of 91 tonight. Both engrossed. Should keep us going for a few months.
Female central character for such an epic makes a change.
Finished this a few days ago.
Great story.
Very interesting concept and parts were educational in the historical context.
More violence and sex than we were expecting or felt it needed, but I suppose it sells.
Too many coincidences to be credible, but just went with it for the entertainment value.
Looking forward to final series 8 when it comes out on DVD. Might have to get the spin-off Blood Of My Blood as well.

Watching a few episodes every week and we are now missing our "friends".
Probably won't read the books, but amazing ideas from a female American science academic.

Has anyone given Dear England a try on BBC1?

We’ve only watched the first episode so far and I did find it watchable without being top drawer.

But Joseph Fiennes, who plays Gareth Southgate, has him down to a tee. The look, the voice, the mannerisms. He’s certainly done his homework.
