The bookies seem to have cornered the market on really annoying characters in their TV ads:

All the Paul Kaye characters in the Victor ads (and the wooden Victor himself)
The ridiculously cockney Ray Winstone in the William Hill ads.
And the “game on” man on Ladbrokes – so bad that the current ads don’t have him squawking “game on”.

Have I missed any (I hope so)?

I think the one with Cammie in it washing his hair is quite amusing. But it's hardly a healthy sign for society when just about every advert break in a sports program has at least one advert for bookies. Or put another way, an advert for the average punter to lose money. Anyone ever seen a poor bookie?

Still, I suppose you can turn over to watch Dave and see plenty of adverts for pay day loan companies, and if you sign up quickly you can get 25% off the interest rate. Which will bring it down to only 1364%.

Hell in a handcart I tells you.....

You know the companies though don't you. Seem that it works. Just like Go Compare or Compare the Market. They are annoying but the brand sticks in the head.

Sooner or later Her Majesty's Goverment are gonna start playing hardball with on-line gambling providers... And I suspect one of the first actions will be to block TV advertising... So, 'enjoy' them while you can...
