I went at lunch time ready to buy a Callaway Octane Tour driver, and came out with ...a Ping I15.

I already have a ping rapture 5 wood, I'm only 38 help me !!

it's a slippery slope, it starts with a ping 5 wood, then a driver....

then I wake up one day & i've got a 14 degree driver to 13 wood in my bag, a chipper, a broom handled putter and I'm playing with yellow balls 'cos they are easier to see

but like most people like that youl pop 14* down the middle off the tee ,running bouncing hopping 13wood 2nd up the middle ,chipper along the ground to 5feet . one putt with the broom then & youl be wondering why 38yr olds think golf is hard ha ha

So you went in for a Callaway and came out with a Ping. That's some serious senility. I know how you feel. Last year I went out shopping for some bags of compost and came back with a full set of Pings. I think I got a bit confused because compost is for growing and Pings are for growing old.

yep I'd researched it, hit one at a demo day, read reviews. I wanted the driver styled on a lamborghini. then there it was, this nearly new ping i15 £70 quid cheaper. The pensioner in me thought 'that's a bargain'. I hit it on the range and it does go like a bomb. Before I knew it I was walking out the shop with it.

If you hit it well and it was cheaper, then it seems like a good deal.

I managed to resist the lure although the I15's nearly got me last year. Fortunately I've been strong since.

Went to get custom fitted with the sole purpose of leaving with a 910 to satisfy my Titleist fetish... The guy made me hit the i15 and I had no choice but to buy it, killed every other club for me for distance and accuracy.

Its a great club, good choice!

I love mine too they aren't the most forgiving drivers around but they are low spin and launch. I've hit some my longest drives with it. I've been tempted by the new Titleist drivers but I must resist the urge to try them.
