It was the Thursday stable ford yesterday but with stupid gusts of wind, there is always wind on my course as its right on the east coast but yesterday was mental.
Head wind going out and back wind coming in, I played with a 1 hcapper so wanted to play decent and not make him wait for me too much but with the wind that strong he even struggled, I managed to scrape 10 points after the front 9 which I was pretty happy with considering the conditions because the ball was moving with the wind even when putting.
Was looking forward to the back 9 though as I knew if I could hit my shots straight they would go for miles.
I got to the 11th which is a par 5, decent drive, 5 wood into the green and it finished about 10ft from the pin, hit the putt straight but it pulled up 3 inches short, which would of been my first ever eagle, but the tap in birdie would deffo do!
Then onto the 13th another par 5' decent drive down the middle, hit a decent 7 iron into the raised green, left me about 15 ft, same again got the line perfect but it stopped with less than 1 inch before the hole!

So close to getting 2 eagles in the same round, but I was just well happy anyway because It was the first time I got 2 birdies in the same round :D

Finished the back 9 with 23 points, so will be in the buffer zone, which I was certain I was going to get 0.1 back while I was on the front 9.

I do feel like a cheating sod though, because the 2 holes I birdied was my 2 shot holes so that was 10 points in 2 holes:mmm:
Can't wait to get down to 18 lol

I played a 4bbb match in 40kph winds too yesterday, played well considering, around 2 under handicap but still lost 2&1 to two scratch team players

It feels like the wind has been blowing hard for about six weeks... and I play a parkland course in the middle of Edinburgh

At least it's dried our course out :)

I wouldn't fancy playing a links course in that wind though, so good shooting on that front
