Hi all, Just looking for a little advice.

There are some fantastic deals to be had on all of the Turnberry courses at the moment. I know the Ailsa course is the premier course and I guess the one to play. As with all these things sometimes others know better, would be great to hear what people think about the respective courses there.

Thanks,

Doug

Sounds like going for the ailsa is the way to go. If driving that far, might as well play the real thing!

yes Ailsa is the course, however the Kintyre is an Open qualifying course and not to be sniffed at- especially at £45 per round just now (It was £25 up till end April)

It's still April now?

yes I realise that and knew that when posting, but the detail was going to take too long to type, but I'm doing it now as you've spotted the deliberate error  The £25 deal had to be purchased earlier in the year but had to be used (booked and played) by the 28th April 2014. Saw an email 2 days ago for £45 for May1st onwards till a certain date that escapes me

Kintyre course is still a very good course in its own right, very good value for £45, astonishing for £25.

Ailsa is nearly a perfect course, IMO third best of the courses I have played after Muirfield and Sunningdale Old.

There are some very good choices and deals to be had on the Ayrshire courses. My daughter played Western Gailes last week and said it was in great condition.

Not seen the Ailsa for £45, that is even better than the deals I have found. Were they deals that you had to buy in advance? Would be even better if could get those prices obviously!

neither have I:smirk: re-read the posts

My apologies I did indeed misread your earlier post! I am sure my teacher always told me to read the question properly!
