So assuming you've got one what size have you got. Eldest daughter has brought me mine round from her bosses farm and I've got an 18lb crown. Looks massive.

Turkey crown of about 17 pounds. Will get demolished on the day as well. I suppose the last bit will get wolfed down at about 19:30 when Doctor Who starts. Turkey and cranberry sandwiches, with a bottle of Malbec, followed by homemade sherry trifle......:D

We don't have Turkey, I've ordered a 2 bone fore rib of beef that i'm picking up tomorrow. We're goin to her brothers house for christmas dinner so we'll have a proper dinner at home boxing day.

15 lb crown for us.
It should all be gone by Boxing day night.
We have an open house all day running buffet on Boxing day when everyone and the cat seams to pop round. Great fun though, best part of Chrimbo for me now the kids are all grown up.

Reminded me to get the crown out of the freezer - thanks :-)

PS Agree about fruit on my meat - just wrong wrong wrong!

turkey dinner at my son's house,if we were suppose to have fruit with our turkey, surely they would be reared on fruit.Defo noooooooooooooooo fruit, turkey, stuffing and lashing of gravy for me.:)

Turkey crown for the first time. But just bought a forty odd quid huge turkey for £12 in tesco for early next year.

Turkey deffo. But Sprouts, now that's the food of the devil yurgh

Turkey for us tomorrow - all ready to go in the oven - sitting in the cold conservatory (too big for fridge) wrapped in foil.

If you say Turkey is bland then you aint prepping it right! Butter and herbs between skin on breast and stuffing inside.

And none of ours gets wasted - it's my job on Boxing day morning to sort left over turkey - slice the best bits for the buffet plate and the rest will be used for curry, casserole and whatever the wife creates. Even the bones are put in a large preserving pan for a wonderful tasting soup.

Enjoy!

Butter/garlic butter with orange zest chopped garlic between skin and breast Mmmmmmm.

oh Eck she just started peeling the Brussels.

Regardless of how you prep it it's still a bland meat IMO. My sister who's a cracking cook swore last year that hers would change my mind........nope still beef or lamb beats it by a country mile for me.

Fair enough Dodger, each to their own and all that.

I too like a nice leg of lamb, and beef. And being an ex Butcher in a previous life, I can recommend for a roast, Fore-rib of beef, or if you like lean ask your Butcher for a "Corner cut of Topside." Luvverly!
