Turkey left overs

Yep, agreed. Not worth the risk I reckon! Unless you want to start 2014 with some serious weight loss (not the best way though I reckon!)

Providing it has been cooled then stored in the fridge correctly then 4 days is fine.

Reckon our bird this year was only an A cup one... Hardly any breast meat at all...
Just about enough for the main meal and a fricassee the following day...

We orered ours from sainsbury and they must have ran out of the 4 to 6 servers as we got an 8 to 10 for the same price. Half has gone in the freezer!

we had ours yesterday with the leftover ham in a white sauce, puff pastry mash and veg. best meal of xmas so far!

As long as you heat it well, should still be fine today/tomorrow.

Our was gone by the end of boxing day. As was the ham. Went to my parents for dinner and mum buys a turkey crown as noone really enjoys the legs. Great values, loads of meat and was very very tasty.

Just for the record I decided to eat the last bit of cold turkey yesterday with some home made chips and very nice it was too. I'm pleased to say that I did not end up doing the turkey trots.:D

I'm amazed at all this waste of Turkey! Throwing legs away? Really?

We had a bird of about 14-15lbs this year, and had 14 for dinner. What I did was to cut off the half breast on one side with the leg (drumstick) and the thigh. By cutting the whole half of breast off bone it made it much easier to carve. Then took the bone out of thigh and carved, and did same for drumstick. There was plenty to go round with some to spare. The thigh meat is very tasty and IMO as good as the breast.

With the other half, on Boxing Day I did the same and used some for the buffet table and then some thigh meat for sandwiches next day. All the rest was individually wrapped, dated and frozen. Even the soup went in the freezer!

As my 'ol Nan used to say, "Waste not want not". :D

Happy New Year!
