I found the XP95's way to light. I had the stiff version in a set of Callaway Apex's and persevered 2 seasons.....The distance was superb but I gave up by the end as I was just so inconsistent. I was either really good on the day or really bad....mostly the latter.

I went back to my Ping i15's and the consistency of strike, especially in the short irons, is miles better.

What do you have now, and what have you had that you liked.

In the shaft you have quoted, it's just the weight that's different. How heavy do you like your shafts to be?

I got fitted for some Mizuno JPX 850s last October & tried the the XP 95, 105 & 115. The 95 was he only one I could hit straight, pushed the other two with my pathetic 89mph driver swingspeed. After I got them I measured the swingweights, which came out at C7/C8, decidedly on the light side. I have an old MX 23 6 Iron which I have made 1" longer than the JPX850. I can swing it easily & get more length than the JPX850. I'll probably lengthen the club's when I have them regrouped.

If you go for the XP95 I would advise you to give some attention to how heavy the club's will swing.

I like them quite light...I liked the KBS tour 90 which are roughly the same as the XP 95...what I dont like about them is they hit them quite high and losing distance...particularly in the wind.

These were the 2 I liked best when I was buying my current irons. I went with the KBS but there wasn't much in it.

They do go quite high, but I ignored that for 2 reasons.
1. I think most ams don't realise how high the pros hit it and what I think is high may not really be too much.
2. On the occasions where there's a lot of wind I'm happy clubbing up and hitting softer shots.

I've got an XP115 in a 3 iron. It's nice enough but doesn't feel as nice as the lighter version to me.

Might be worth considering the new DG AMT shafts, which are R300/S300 weight in the wedge but get progressively lighter as you go through the set. I think the 4i shaft would be around 112g.

I had exactly these kbs in a set of Adams CB2. I hated them, as they were way too light for me. I only played with them for a couple of months.
