Morning, Just awaiting delivery today on some blades from Hakusa so I decided to investigate Japanese forging etc. Anyway I came across this in the early hours today whilst here indoors was keeping me awake snoring.

Anybody play Miura like me or Scratch? This has shocked me and I feel mislead by Miura. Read it fully guys it is an eye opener.

Very interesting.. I dont have enough interesting comments about this as I dont play with blades and as you know from other posts your brands are new to me. I worked in the Kart industry for 13 years and we used to have the same with reynolds chromoly tube, the old was it wasnt it thing. you soon know when you cant bash it straight again, but manufactures will still try and tell you it is.

tell me though, did you get those wedges? and did you not order some irons too?

Wouldn't that mean that everyone who goes on about 'feel' would be wrong?

Does it matter even if they are made out of chocolate provided that you play them well and are happy with them?

of course, but if they claim they are one thing and they are another thats not good!

Hi, Awaiting delivery, I live in the sticks here in France so delivery is a pain sometimes, if the gates are closed here then the postman leaves then back at the depot (despite his xmas bonus)

As soon as they arrive I will post all the heads on here. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday.

If you look at Miura web site they clearly show Mr. Miura stood in a forgery, misleading me thinks..

The reason I decided to buy the range of Hakusa heads (full range) is simple, they are made by Kyoei and are exactly the same spec as Vega (one piece) but with with a new stamp/mould and custom grinds.

It has opened my eyes completely as it would appear Miura does not forge anything they are effectively a "finishing" company.

Take a look at the Miura web site and would you agree that after reading all the hype you would say they portray themselves as manufacturers?

Can't French postman open a gate ?

This was discussed at length on the MyGolfSpy forum earlier this year.

The general consensus was that the blog was wrong.

See for your self:

Top post buddy, Having read it fully "Bill CEO" at Miura says, "from start to finish" but he hasn't actually answered the question whether they manufacturer the heads or not, start to finish can mean anything.

Only one way to resolve this me thinks (unless I have read it wrong) is to visit the factory. I am going to do that when back from the states, I planned to do it on the old bucket list this year and now more inspired to do so.

Off to practice with my dubious Miura's, will check the forum later today, be interesting how you guys get a take on "Bill's" input into that forum..

Going low today as the sun is shining, take a few quid off the locals :)
