Not sure if any of the Scottish contingent have seen this but there's a limited August offer on at the moment to play Trump International (Aberdeen) for £75 each in a fourball.

I'd been waiting for an offer like this to appear this year but annoyingly I don't have any free time this month to take advantage. Having not seen it mentioned here I thought it worth passing on while there's still time to take advantage.

There's a great deal if you are a senior. Senior Amateur Open, September 14th for £95 which includes entry into the competition plus a practice round the week before.

You're allowed to play off a lower handicap, I have a few times , just to get a cheap game at a good course :thup:

They're going to ballot the entries by handicap. I suspect the 12 limit for men is just because they anticipate enough entries that anyone higher would be wasting their time. Contrast with the 36 limit for women - they're probably not sure if they'll fill the ballot.

If i wasnt playing Royal Aberdeen the week after i'd have entered the Trump Open, still might but will wait till nearer the time to see if it fills

Closing date for the women's one is Friday, Martin. I'd guess the men's will be the same.
