I really like some trousers being punted lately, and more so some of the Bunker Mentality range, but, so many manufacturers don't do a short leg

My wife doesn't do sewing so if I have to buy some trousers that are too long for me I have to find a local shop or seamstress to turn them up for me which quite simply is a pain in the backside and as such I don't impulse buy as its too much trouble.

Now I've met quite a few of you lot out there over the years and there's not that many lanky athletic types amongst you, so, to all you short legged fashion concious [good looking] bods like me, do you still buy longer length trousers and get them turned up or do you stick to finding short (29") lengths without all the hassle like me.

I'm looking to do a poll on this to see how many shorties we have amongst us also so please vote and explain what and how you buy your trousers in the main.

I tried getting longer ones with the plan to get them taken up..... there are still waiting to be done! so now just wait and bide time until find the ones I want in 29/30 leg. And most have been courtesy of golf base or IJP

29" short for me too! Before anyone points it out, we're not all short legged at Coventry GC ;)

In my experience, Ping, Oscar Jacobson and Cutter & Buck seem to have the best fit/selection for me!

I need a short 29" leg too, I struggle to find anything in my size since I am a 34" waist. My wife thankfully sews so she can take my trouser up for me.

So if some of the companies out their with snazzier designs offered a short leg, would you be more likely to impulse buy from them without the fuss?

I can assure you as someone that lived and travelling the world in the forces I am more than knowledgeable of Wonder Web, as it was then known, however, I don't like the stuff, unless its improved greatly.

With that said though, sometimes when you turn certain styles of trousers up so much, you end up with flares

Well if you don't think that iron on hem tape will work, simply pull the waist of some 32" leg trousers up to your nipples :D

For sure, I'm anywhere between a 32" to a 36" waist, depending on where I buy my clothes from.

I'm eying up another pair of Oakley Take 3 trousers, but if they did a 34/30 in the colour I want, I'd buy them now. I can always buy the longer ones but it is quite a hassle to get them taken up, so not too quick on the buy button.

Trousers need to be a minimum 34" leg for me, any shorter and my socks are on show! Unfortunately though 34" seems to differ between brands so tend to stick with Adidas as they are always long enough

I'm generally 30 or 31 leg. If I can't get the exact size I'll buy the longer one as I'd rather have the bottom almost touching the ground than look like my shoes have had an argument with my trousers.

I've had one or two pairs that have been a fraction too short and I feel self-conscious all the time I'm wearing them.

31-32 in leg for me.

I've seen a lot of variance though which is why I tend to stick to a certain manufacturers just because I know they will fit OK more than anything else.

.

There is another option, radical though it might seem! ;)

(And I don't mean get a new wife before anyone suggests it!!!)
