Trolley wheel question...

I once played in conditions like those, made things very interesting especially as none of our 4 ball had anything other than white balls in their golf bags that day!

My club have had a trolley ban in place for weeks. It's been too wet to allow trolleys, as they churn the course into mud. Yesterday it was too frosty for them, as they damage the grass more than foot prints, and today the course is closed due to snow.

Still waiting on then answer. Anyone willing to shed some light on it?
whats the question again!!! is it about 1980's novelty covers and why a grown man has them ? or the build up of snow on the wheels, this is caused by pressure and the snow being drier so compacts and sticks easier.

Loudoun (certainly a couple of years ago) banned trolleys through the winter- one of the reasons why I chose not to join, even though I live 3 mins away.

I played Mar Hall in winter of 2014 and although they weren't happy with me using a trolley, they let me on due to suffering from a bad back at the time. I could see where they were coming from- in wet, muddy patches the wheels spun and made a right mess. I ended up walking through the cut-down rough for the remainder of the round. Conditions were really, really wet though.

St Nicholas is a links track, therefore highly unlikely a trolley ban would ever be introduced. Maybe you should have explained that to the audience outside of the West of Scotland.

Love your picture.
