Trevose Championship Course

I've got a few days away next week and we are playing the above and Merlin GC in Mawgan Porth.

Any of you lot played these?

Had a holiday home 200 yards from the clubhouse and the course, location and local people are the nearest I will get to Heaven on this earth - no doubt incomers could be diluting the local charm but hey!... Magic!!

We've actually got our caravan at Mawgan Porth mate and have been going there for 10 years, but this is the first year that I will be taking my clubs down, really looking forward to it.

To get there do you take a left at the cross roads in St Merryn (opposite the petrol station on the corner) and carry on down there?

It was extremely well sign posted at St Merryn .. you can't go wrong.

Is it The Farmers Arms that also stands beside the cross roads?

Trevose is a quality links,which is not especially long when wind is calm.Lovely fairways and undulating greens,you can open your shoulders a bit as approach shots are key with strategic bunkering.Deservedly in GM's top 100 british courses.

Merlin not in the same league when I played though this would been about 6 years ago,but it was cheap and quite enjoyable.
