The unthinking adoption and import of American social and cultural mores, strongly aided and abetted by the media (and made so much easier by social media / the internet) has a real-world impact on how and what people ‘think’
Pretty sure that 10 years ago such a view from Sinclair would have received a fraction of the Twitter ‘likes’

He's entitled to express his opinion, as long as it's not illegal, even if it's distasteful.
Others are similarly entitled to lambast him for it.
Interesting to see what TS do with him, as a media outlet that thrives on expressing controversial opinions and stirring up arguments.

That wont happen, there's always 1 organisation that'll employ him and it usually the likes of Talksport who will.
Afterall they've got to keep their diversity quota on each show.

Precisely. I can't imagine there are too many people who hang around waiting to hear what Trevor Sinclair has to say on any subject.
I almost feel sorry for him - he's a man whose MH probably isn't great and he's just opened himself up to a world of hate and abuse.

Whilst he is entitled to his opinion, a person of his standing should at least show a bit of empathy.

There is a certain irony about folk who go on about cancel culture now wanting to cancel him.
It was an odd post from someone who has previously posted pro-Queen comments, maybe he is having some personal issues.

Absolutely. That is why he will not be prosecuted, sent to prison or executed. He can say what he wishes.
However, free speech does not make you immune from the opinions of others, as you have said. Others can lambast him for it. And, when you work in the media, and exposed to public opinion, you clearly6 make yourself extremely unemployable.
If you work in the media, it is a pretty good skill to read the room at certain moments. This was one of those moments, in the extreme.
