Transferring Music from iPod to iMac/iTunes ??

Does anyone know how I can upload all the Music on my iPod to my iMac/iTunes ?

The Music was all put on when I used a PC, and I dunno how the hell to transfer it all across to the Mac

You don't by any chance know the format of the files?


PS...don't try syncing (it's possible you could lose everything).

There MUST be a way of accessing the ipod, either within itunes or finding some freebie software that enables your computer to read the ipod as a regular "drive/device".

i.i.r.c. having messed around a few times with ipods, I suspect there is a box somewhere to enable you to manually manage file transfers.

just a lil question, the music u have on the ipod is it on ur pc? or are u also asking how to copy music from ipod to ur pc firstly

The Music is all my Pod, and was all on the PC in iTunes before I switched to Mac etc.

I just need to copy it all across from the Pod into my iTunes on the Mac now etc.

Is there not a way of clicking on the ipod within itunes and manually transferring files, avoiding the dreaded sync function?

Snelly - Fab, thx buddy.

Dave - its a cinch, just download it, run it, connect ipod, and upload all to iTunes.,.....easy.

Apart from having to click every 50/100 songs to get rid of their prompt to buy, no hassle at all.

if you wanted to copy music from an ipod to playlist, pc , ma bla bla bla go to the ipod folder in c:files folder and click options.

highlight show hidden files

copy and paste the music wallah.

ps sometimes you have to blooming rename the songs
