I was reading the article in GM yesterday, very interesting but it lead me to a question.

Which ones are really worth it and which are just pointless gadgets?

Got a couple of quid from a recent job burning a hole in my pocket and I'd rather try and spend it on something useful and golf inspired.
I already have more lessons planned in the near future so no need to suggest that.
So far on my shopping list for the weekend are some of those alignment sticks, used some canes last week but I managed to smash them to bits within 10 minutes lol.

I was thinking of a putting thing for the house but I guess I can just use a steel cup or something for that.

Cheers

swingyde- excellent for helping you groove an on plane swing- you can hit full shots with it as well.

Thanks for that, can they double as alignment sticks?

yep and they are great for growing tomatoes and telling the dog off....

I love a good training aid, I have a V Easy and it is very good and really helps with restricting arm movement and concentrating on the shoulders. I also have a "golf-grip" which is a hard plastic hand positioner that easily fits on the every club, was helpful for when had to move my right hand over from being open.

I also spent some big bucks on the T2Hole Golf Improvement system and i like it, i take it on the range, sets up within a minute and gives instant feedback on swing path using the crazy brushes, there are loads of other ways you can use it but mines mainly for the swing path.

I had a go with the psp last year at golf live and really liked it. A really small headed club with the loft of 7i. The head is only just bigger than the ball so really gets you to concentrate, after your normal club looks massive. Wish I'd taken them up on their offer as he offered it to me at £40 towards the end of the show, retail price in mag was £70!

Depends what your trying to improve. I just bought a putting mirror and I'm already seeing an improvement....

My all round game really, only just taken up the sport properly a couple of months ago.
My swing plane is definitely an issue and I'm trying hard to put it right, I also seem to take a lot of divots before the ball which can be very annoying.

I like the look of that one as well. The link says it isn't available yet but I'm sure someone posted a week or so ago that they had one.

It's not available on Android either, which is an issue for me. They say an android app is coming shortly so they'd better hurry up if they want my business.

V-Easy, its so good my pro just bought one, along with about 3 or 4 other club members since I joined and they saw me using it/saw the quality of my putting on the course (that is what convinced my pro to get one :D )

Are you selling them again Bob? remember seeing on here there were issues wen Yes Golf went boobs up

Not at the moment. The majority of the remaining stock were bought by a shop in Sheffield who sells them on Ebay.
I'm still looking for a backer to get the next 5000 made
