As summer seems to have joined us i am in the market for some trainer style shoes. Does anyone have any recomendations? Liking the look of the adidas samba at the moment, but if anyone has any experience of them it would be great to hear. Or of any other makes....also of any deals being done?

I recently bought a pair of last years puma model the Faas Grip a month or so ago, very lightweight and comfy, havent used any other pair of golf shoes since I bought them and dont expect I will until winter gets here now. As they were last yrs paid just under £40 for them, a decent bargain imo

The new adicross are supposed to be very nice

I wear Cardiff Ashworths - nice and comfy maybe a little heavy

And also Adizero Sports - they are very very light and very comfy - highly recommend them

I got the addicross spikeless. very comfy but as I found out not even the tinyest bit waterproof.....

I have only tried one make and that is Stuburt. I have a pair of Urbabs that cist about £30 and a pair of Urban 2s that cost £40. Would thoroughly recommend both

My other half has a paid of Adidas ones not sure of the model but they are more like running pumps than golf shoes. If you did not see the spikes on the bottom you would never of guessed. I am will find out what they are called and post back, Adidas will no doubt do a male version

Adidas tend to be a bit on the snug side from my experience, so if you can try them on first. And my standard answer to this reoccurring question are Ecco Streets, comfy as anything. Bit pricey new, but if you ever see them in a sale or last years model then snap them up.

Any idea if this is just their golf shoes? I've got loads of Adidas trainers all in an 11 which is fine, but never had any of their golf shoes.

My golf shoes are always half a size more than my normal adidas trainers

Adidas trainers are too narrow for me, as are the golf shoes. The Adidas wide fitting is great for me in golf shoes.
I would have thought if te trainers fit then you should be ok with the golf shoes.

I have adicross 2 spikeless, they are good, very good value too.

I saw a pair of Ecco 2013 Mens Street Hydromax on Golf Base yesterday, size 9, too good a price to ignore, especially with free returns, notice today they only have size 11 ~ 11.5 in Licorice/Fanta.

I hoping they will be as comfy as I am told they are!

Ashworth Cardiffs for me are superb. Worn them for several rounds now and they are like slippers. Quite wide fitting though which is fine for me but might not be for others.

I have a few pairs including Samba (which do have soft spikes) and adiCross and both are sized like the adidas Originals trainers. For me that is a half size up from the "normal" golf shoe line

The Ashworth Cardiff are made by adidas also

I have the Samba and they are seriously comfy. Always go up a size with adidas as they fit really small
