Looking at maybe getting some new irons and thinking of either trying to sell my King Cobra FP irons and MD Superstrong 21 hybrid on here or trade them in at AG. What kind of price do you think I'll get for the above? I'm guessing I'll get more from a private sale than trade them in at AG.

Cobra's are a good few years old, in decentish nick but the hybrid is 6 months old and in very good condition.

Any ideas?

Looking at the Wilson Di11's for £150 or maybe a 2nd hand pair from anyone on here.

Was in AG the other day and a guy was trading in a driver, they offered him £11 for it, I think it was a cobra. I would look at what golfbidder and the secondhand golf shop offer and then you know the numbers and pop them on here or eBay.

Get a quote off golfbidder that's the best you'll get AG to give as a trade in.
eBay offers potential the biggest market and best price, bear in mind fees too near 10% in total unless you get cash on collection.
Fix your price put them on here until free listing then take them off and eBay I suggest.

I wouldn't buy any golf clubs that are second hand ... You have no idea what's been going on with them. treat yourself and if your gonna try and play golf then get the right gear.

Good luck.

I'm in a similar boat with a set of Ping G10 irons, I haven't got enough posts to sell on here and eBay fees are quite expensive so I was thinking of either selling or part exchanging them with Carnoustie golf shop. Looking at the online prices they are just as cheap as American golf and will custom fit any new clubs or they have got loads of good used sets that you could part exchange.

Second hand is the way to go every time for me. As for the previous comment "You don't know what's been going on with them" chances are they have been used for hitting golf balls with, which is a fair bet the same thing you are going to do with them. Let someone else pay the VAT and then take the depreciation on them and pick up a bargain. You will be surprised just how many golfers buy new off the rack then decide they aren't for them within ten rounds. Get on Ebay and find what you want. As long as you stick to 100% positive feedback I cannot see anything going wrong.

Yep I know guys who'll buy the latest and greatest from any manufacturer if it gains them 3 yards, in fact I know a guy who sold a titliest 910 driver for £10!!! Just because he ordered the new nike covert

+1 for second hand, I've had some right bargains to be honest. Let someone else take the hit and find the bargains. Also if buying new intend to go with the end of season gear as new lines are launched. All the stores slash the prices to get rid of stock to make room for the new and improved models!

+1 for second hand also, I think every bat in my bag is 2nd hand apart from the flat stick. What a ridiculous statement to say stay away from 2nd hand because you don't know what's been happening to them?!

nowt wrong with 2nd hand, I have had enough sets etc to vouch for this, just do your homework, ebay is good as you can get some right bargains, you just have to be patient or watch items finishing at silly times, it can be worth staying up till 1 am as could save ££'s

another tip is dont buy at the start of the month as everyone has been paid so has cash to spend, mid to last 3rd is a good time as stuff tends to sell slightly cheaper also.

Good luck

saying that I would be interested in the Mizuno JPX800's that Alex was on aboout selling, I'd take them think they'd suit what I'm looking for.

If he reads this PM me.

Were these the PX5.5 ones which needed the 5i reshafting? I fancied these, but fear they would be a touch too stiff.

I have FP irons for sale as well. I think I am just going to car boot them to be honest. May as well get a quick buck from an impulse buyer. Probably less hassle and I've got to the stage where I'd probably get more for scrap than trade in.
