I brought a New R11 driver in September last year, and was thinking of trading it in for a R11`s or rocketballs
, mainly for the reason for a higher lofted head from 9.0deg to 10.5deg ,but have had two quotes so far off only
£80-85 , which in my mind is a big no go as the drop is to much in 6 months.
Has anybody else found that re-sale values are s...t :(

Trade in values and resale values are two completely different things. Why not post a For Sale message here with the price that you would want to enable you to trade up?

Resale values are generally s**t, because they want to make a profit when they resell it.

Rather than trade it in, sell it here or on eBay, as you'll get more for it, I'm sure.

edit: Hotdogassassin beat me to it!;)

You could alter the setting up 1 degree gives you 10 or change adaptor to 2012 version on shaft that's another half a degree? Or look for a swap?

Im assuming that you didn't get fited for the R11 - hence the change. Is it definitely the loft, have you tried other shafts that launch higher?

I would recommend that you get fitted and get the right club/shaft combo, we all like to chop and change but that is a big ££ hit for a club which is virtually new in terms of technology etc.

Sometimes we see posts where people begrudge paying £40-50 for a proper fitting but it can lead to massive savings when you dont get caught up with tradeins, golf equipment is becoming 'throwaway' value once you have hit it so if you get it right, keep it in the bag for 3-4 years then it was a good and value for money investment.
ps ill give you £86 for it

I will give you £100 to take it off your hands.

Alternatively got to be eBay and I would say wait until after the Masters, Like selling a convertible motor sun comes out and the price increases overnight.

Scottjd has the best point that a fitting would have saved this issue. another fact is the r11 is now being discounted to around £189 in shops, if they give you £85 and sell it on, they will only get 130-140 tops... so not making as much as you think. unfortunately as technology progresses quicker, things will also depreciate quicker.

Alternative approach would be to buy an R11 10.5 deg head from ebay - fit that to your current set up and sell on the old one.

It will mean shelling out some cash short term but you would be nearly break even on the whole deal.
