I'm looking at staying at TPC Catalunya for 3 days in early December. I'm trying to decide whether to play the Stadium Course all 3 days or whether to play the Tour Course on one of the days instead. Has anyone played the Tour Course before and thinks it is also worth a round?

The trip has come about as I've been trying to lock in a trip to Ayrshire to play Turnberry/Troon/Prestwick for a months but now won't get a chance until early December (when I assume that it will be unbearably cold) so I've tried to pick somewhere a bit warmer instead. Rounds on the Stadium Course are only approx 70 euros as well which seems like good value given how highly the course seems to be rated.

Visited here a few years ago, played the Stadium course (I think they were building the "Tour" course while we were there).
We had booked to play it twice within the same week, (Monday and Friday), as the lads who had played it the previous year were raving about it and really wanted to play two rounds there.
Unfortunately, when we visited the whole course was covered in sand. Not just a "sprinkling" either. God knows how many tonnes of sand had been dumped over it. Fairways and tees were hard to distinguish from the actual bunkers!
Completely ruined our holiday as it was like playing out of bunkers all the way round.
As we had paid for everything in advance it was too late to cancel our Friday visit.
We turned up hoping that there might have been an improvement over the week but as the course looked no better than it did on our Monday visit a couple of the lads decided not to go out.
It was a shame because the course itself is a good one. I'd loved to have played it in decent nick but honestly, it was a joke.
And they charged full green fees!!

I played them both about five years ago. Both courses are as good as each other. There by far the best golf courses I've played, I'd love to go back there. Id defiantly play them both. Hope that helps.

Thanks Sion. I think I will go for 2 on the Stadium and 1 on the Tour. They are both similarly priced from memory. Cheers

Sounds good. I'm sure from what I remember the stadium course is their "flagship" course. I'd 100% go back there. You must be gutted about last time!!

I'm gonna be on holiday 30 minutes down the road from TPC Catalunya next August. I'm hoping to get away for half a day to get a round of golf in.

I'd be intersted to hear any reviews of the place. I'm guessing a buggy might be needed in the height of summer.
