tp 9 1 iron

Had one many years ago... good luck.

If it hasn't got a health warning, you can always try and claim for white finger.

I used to have a driving iron as when I first took up golf I had only a driver (spaghetti shafted bought 2nd hand for under a tenner).

I "loved" it but I ended up giving it away as my hybrid replaced it, giving me more versatility and better flight in the process. I still doubt I ever actually hit a good shot with it outside the range, pretty standard for a beginner.

If I had kept it then it may have gone in the bag instead of my hybrid during windy summer days, just to give an option below my 3 wood but I highly doubt it.

If you cant hit woods like I used to not be able to and you have a good slot in your bag then have fun! For me nothing beats a belted 4 iron (longest I have) down a short par 4 to leave a pitch in :)

It'll be great for chipping out from under trees, when you definitely do not want to get the ball airborne!

A friend of mine has one of these, and it's his go to club on short par fours. He hits it miles, with a massive high ball flight. Probably gets around 280/290 out of it. It's like a magic trick to me, how he does it.

I've just bought a Callaway x-14 2 iron as i'm badly struggling with fairway woods and hybrids. Hitting it solidly about 220 carry and with it drying out i'll be able to get it up to 250-260 as I hit the ball very low. It's surprisingly easy to crunch off the deck as well. I still am baffled how I can't hit a hybrid but can hit 2 and 3 irons for fun.

My old man has a set of hogan apex incl 1 iron which I must dig out and have a go with. Love the 'E' Equaliser wedge in the set too.
