Just wondering guys who you is your favourite tour pro, this side of the pond or the other.

Mine would have to be Luke Donald, I think that he is such a good role model, and I really look upto him, plus I love his swing.

Paul Casey is a legend, I also have a soft spot for Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood and Sergio. I like too many to be honest though! The list could go on and on, so many players are great role models, tremendous golfers and genuine gentleman to go with it.

Do you mean current players or all time?

All time it's Seve for me by a mile.

Out of the current crop, I'm liking a few, in no particular order

Sergio
Adam Scott
Ollie Wilson
Ross Fisher
Luke Donald
Camillo Villegas
Ryo Ishikawa(watch out for this one over the next couple of years).

Like any good fav list, this will probably change next week

Sergio + Darren Clarke. Are my fav, However other people come and go ou of my top 5 but these two stay put.

I like the way Karlsson coducts himself on the course, also love the flair of Garcia and Ernies attitude.

Huge respect for David Duval after his Open triuph and that amazing speach he gave.

Too many to mention but if pressed I would have to plump for God knows!

Oli Fisher has a great swing as does Sterne and numerous others so I cant seperate. Sorry!

Tiger, Always worth watching the best.
Sergio, exciting, never know what's coming next.
Padraig, Gritty player, worth watching to see how to grind out a result.
Jimenez, true gent.
Westwood, because he is english.
Poulter, because he is a ***, and I quite like that.
Casey, because he insults the yanks.
Monty, because he is so miserable it is funny.

Poulter, because he is a ***, and I quite like that.

What a way to put it! I have started to like him after the Ryder cup, but his antics after his driver was nicked was a bit knob ish.

Fave's NOW:................... Fan Dans NOW:

Harrington...................... Poulter
Jimenez......................... Clarke
Karlsson........................ JB Homo
Olazabal........................ Justin Leonard

THEN:........................... Fan dans THEN:
Payne Stewart................... Calcavechia
Fred Couples.................... Torrance
David Duval..................... Faldo
Sandy Lyle...................... Lehman

Not so much favourites as who I would pay to watch:

Jiminez, Garcia, Westwood, Ernie, VJ, Furyk (there are others but not Tiger as it would be a waste of money, I'd see more on TV)

Who I would have paid to watch (had I been into golf and had the opportunity):

Faldo, Trevino, Player, Norman (same argument for Jack)

I can go along with all these, but Monty is like Johnathan Ross, liked him when he first came out but turned into a jumped up irritating tit!

David Howell, really hope he gets his game back
Luke Donald
Karlsson
Sergio
Ross Fisher

I don't like Boo, I think he was a knob riding his driver and would have gladly wrapped it around his neck
I don't mind
Leonard
Michelson
Tiger (but too much coverage)
Beejegus
Els
Scott
Baddeley
VJ

Westwood and clarkey, blokes who can compete on any level and still have a beer.
I also want Rory McIlroy to do well as hes a local lad and practices at our course with our pro. Down to earth lad who deserves a bit of success. (top 50 in the world as of this week too, well done fella).

As said by most i like a lot of the current pros but if pushed to name 3 got to go with:
1----Paddy-=seriously down to earth guy--my wife and her pals met him on the plane to Valderamma and they were smitten by his charm and good manners--glad to say she managed to secure an autograph.
2---Rose--for his persistence in overcoming 21 missed cuts in a row to forge a great career.
3---Goosen--for his apparent laid back style of golf.

Golden Oldies--
1--Norman--What a great player--had the good fortune to see him play in the Irish Open int eh mids 70;s when he was a young up and coming player who bombed the ball long and high.
2---Eamon Darcy--for having the most ugly swing in golf and make a career with it.
3---Trevino--the only man who could crack ajoke and still hit the fairway.

My two all time favourites would have to be Seve and Trevino.
They both made the best of what they had, and seemed more "human" because of it.

Current crop?
Rose, Paddy and Jimenez.

One I cried for?
Baker-Finch.
How could a guy with such a great swing go from hero to zero in such a short space of time?
