Played today, lovely stuff tee to green, including some loveley chips from around the fringe to within 2-3 feet, but couldn't buy a put. Was playing with a new putter so am blaming that!!!

Makes you think when you see the Pro's missing similar puts on the TV andsit there saying my 4 year old coukd sink that, perhaps I'll tut less next time Monty et al miss from 3 feet.

You have to take into account we are still playing on winter greens so there will be the odd bobble and bare patch so it may not be totally down to you.

I've been having the same problem from 3 foot (especially in competitions) and was trying to roll the ball in. As a result it would normally bobbly on the way in and miss soI'm now taking any break out and hitting them firmer and holing more.

Keep the faith. It will soon be summer and the greens will be firm and true.
