Just felt i had to put this on here to exorcise my demons, i'll keep it as short as possible. Comp yesterday par 68 css 68, out in 32 2 under scratch ( not bad for a 6 hcap), stood on the 16th level par after a couple of silly bogeys, then BANG double bogey, 17th bogey, 18th double bogey, ouch, still got a .2 cut though but should have been so much better. Apart from the obvious thoughts that i bottled it, i still can't really work out what happened, think i'll need to dig out old Bob Rotella's cd's, only the paving in the back garden stopped me burying the clubs.:p

Or a different way of thinking, you played 15 brilliant holes! (if you include the silly bogeys). What mistakes did you make to get the 2 doubles on the finish?

That's a positive thought CH, greenside bunker at 16, thinned out, chip and two putts & caught the last fairway bunker off the 18th tee ( far to deep imo as it's 200yds to the green), dug it out, overshot the green with the third shot, usual chip and two putts, but a think your right in look at the 15 good holes, cheers bud you've cheered me up ( a bit).;)

I guess you are no longer at the Place, where are you playing now?

Nothing happened at the Vale TBH, it just happened that the Gleddoch is a better fit all round (it was originally between the Vale and Gleddoch when we chose the former). Off peak membership option saves a bit of dosh, don't have to cross the bridge or deal with Dumbarton rush hour traffic, great group of guys at the Gleddoch for our regular roll-ups.

So when did you leave the Place and how is it these days?

still a decent round and under h\cap for a little cut could of been worse and 0.1 back. Just put it down too to long in the sun and forget the finish and bank memorys of -2 front 9.
Been there myself once few years back middle of 16th fairway 2 over with 9 iron in hand double double single and sucidal feelings to finish!
must take positives and forget negatives!

Cheers PB, your right of course, take the positives, was a dark day yesterday lol

Tail end of last season i left, great wee club but always under water, guys try their best but it's a struggle to make ends meet at a club nowadays. Beith's not everyones cup of tea but i grew up playing there so i'm fine with it.
