I played at Whitley Bay on Friday and my son and I noticed a distinct Top Gear bit of green keeping on one hole. I'm not sure if it was deliberate or an accident but it was quite noticeable. Has anyone else seen something similar, bound to have, but more importantly was it deliberate by the green keeper? If so did others pick up on it, did they have to change the cut?

Ah. In the words of Clarkson, gentleman parts. In this instance it was the landing area for drives over a small valley. The area was wide, about 10yds deep and clearly shaped in a curved fashion at each end. Definitely no straight lines or edges. Leading from this was a central strip. The shaping was quite clear.

Any viewers of Top Gear will remember that they regularly used to fit this shape in to Sat nav routes, tyre tracks etc.
