I, like some of the other members on here, play there going in the West Midlands/Black Country (that you have played!!!!!!!)

Can you all rate your top 3 golf courses, you have played, in the West Midlands based on Value for money, Course Conditions & On-Off Course Set Up.

after serious thinking and changing my top 3 numerous times, mine is::

1. PGA National @ The Belfry (Tons better than the Brab in my mind)
2. Harborne GC (my choice for golf. Tough, Demanding, Great Greens and good value)
3. Chesterton Valley GC (an odd choice for some, but this is great value, and a lovely layout too)

Considered
Bromsgrove GC, Patshull Park GC, West Midlands GC, Dartmouth GC, Brandhall GC (muni)

Sherwood Forest
Beau Desert
Enville

Sherwood Forest, West Midlands????

Excuse me, as someone who lives near Sherwood Forest don't you dare call me a thick bovril drinking kipper tie wearing Slade loviong Brummie!! It's in the East Midlands ;)

PGA national is my favourite course, I have played and I have played the Brabazon. I really like the Brab but there is something about the PGA that I really love I just can't put my finger on it...

I haven't played enough courses to compose a list of my top 3 so it wouldn't be fair.

I'm playing the Brab again tomoz in perfect conditions so I may change my mind LOL

Racist ;)

I don't like Bovril
I haven't wore a tie since school
And I certainly don't like slade

That covers all of the important points I believe

Oi !!! It's north of the M4 and south of Scotland...... Alright!!!

:D

Sherwood Forest
Beau Desert
Enville

I would agree with these three but I have not played Hollinwell . It also depends on what ' The Midlands ' covers. I don't rate the Belfry courses above these and can't comment on Little Aston. Forest of Arden is good in patches but Sherwood Forest is a marvellous place to play.

Edit
Delete Sherwood Forest as it is in the east.

My three in the west mids are Enville, Beau Desert and Church Stretton.

Oh crap.....I forgot about Hollinwell

Any chance you can change this thread to top 4? :)

I will go with;

Harborne Church Farm, as its where I played my first few rounds as youngster!
Lickey Hills, arguably the best municipal course in the country.
Forest Of Arden
