Of those I've played, the top 5 would be (in no particular order)

RCD
TOC
Pinehurst #2
RSG
Carnoustie

Better courses I've played that are not included

St Enodoc
Cape Fear National
The Frog at the Georgian
Several Irish links courses

I wouldn't include Swinley, St Georges Hill or Walton Heath in the world top 100 although they are all excellent courses.

All 3 of those are comfortably above St Enodoc in the English top 100. you cant have one without the other?

This is my point, the lists are flawed because if in theory there are 10 English courses in the world top 100 then the same publisher should have those same 10 courses as the top 10 in England?

are they not?

unless im missing the point here, the english top 100 are ranked as follows (in the world)

24
28
32
45
57
71
73
79
81
82

meaning they are in order?

Sorry, ignore that last post I thought they had different courses in a different order

Still a rubbish list though

I have only played 11 of them so can't really comment on if it is a good list or not. Certainly makes a good starting bucket list of courses to do in a lifetime though.

HAHA, i actually really like the website. First place i check for course reviews etc. and the rankings are generally consistent with the ones published elsewhere.

as soon as you get outside the top 30 (max) its all a lottery anyway, Hayling above St Mellion? Come on.

Que?!? Where?!

I agree about the website. I think it is a fantastic resource and one of my first ports of call when I am considering whether to visit a course for the first time.

Plus it has RCD as the number one which is where it belongs!

I agree on both counts.

It's good news for the Trump trip next year anyway as you get to play at least 2 courses in the worlds Top 100, and many are playing 3. Well done organising committee ;)

I also use it as a guide but take some of the reviews with a pinch of salt.

I've played a grand total of none of them, although that will be changing in feb when I will be able to tick RSG off the list.
As lovely as it is, wht is the point of having Augusta on there? Who is really likely to ever be able to play it?
