Sends me to sleep. A whole 3 days of him is going to be hard going...

Is it just me?? Droning voice and always seems to turn the conversation back to him!

Don't mind him, but yes it is a bit of a dull voice, and everything is 'marvellous'. Still a legend tho.

I read his column in one of the mags and he does seem to go on about the 'good old days' rather a lot. As others have said, he deserves respect for what he did in golf, but possibly not a key position in the commentary team.

Agree with all the above. Simply doesn't work either on tv or in the magazine column. It is the same with all sports, the best players do not always make the best pundits.

he was better when he had his old teeth, remember when he got told he had to play in the open at ST ANDREWS using those crap clubs he had to flog for JJB by DAVE WHELAN and he had to have his son in law on the bag ( Daves ),he should have hung his clubs up years before, just a boring old man trying to earn a crust, time he was retired for good.

I agree but feel obligated to tolerate him out of respect for his achievements in the game.

Mark James would be a lot, lot worse.

I went off him when I read an interview where he claimed the RC would be dead if it wasn't for him. Came across as the UK version of Gary Player.

He changed their way of doing things, made sure they got the best of everything, but I think the Ryder Cup would of been dead if it wasn't for Jack Nicklaus.
