Really really looking forward to the game tomorrow, especially as I'll be with 2 of my Brothers and a very good mate.

Was talking to the wife tonight as I was doing the washing up (as you do) and saying how much I'm looking forward to the game and she said, "Are you sure you can remember how to play?" I said, "Well I'm a little concerned!" She then said," Well you weren't much good before". Cheeky eh! :(

To be honest it's just good banter, no offence taken. She knows I don't take the game too seriously and just enjoy getting out there to play. With the weather being so poor recently it makes it even more enjoyable so been looking forward to it all week.

The weather looks set fair for tomorrow and hopefully any mist will be blown away early on. I'm playing at Hassocks Golf Club in West Sussex, sure some of you know it and have played there before.

Clubs have been dusted off and packed in car - battery on charge and raring to go. :fore:

Enjoy yourself

last time I played was sept :( you've just reminded me that my battery has been on charge since then! I guess it wont do it any harm

I'm hoping to be fit again soon and get my clubs out again

Thanks mate, I'm sure battery will be fine - most are trickle charge these days.

What injury have you had and where do you play? Here's hoping you get out soon!

Think tomorrow is only my third or fourth outing of 2016. Pairs event BB stableford - both scores count. Poor bloke partnering me doesn't know what he's let himself in for

Martin, don't do yourself down, I'm sure you'll be a good partner, what with your experience! :fore:

I'm worried I'm turning into a golf addict - been out at least 6 times since the turn of the year and out again tomorrow - you guys just don't seem to be trying! :)

Enjoy yourselves out there.

Tuesday will be my first since September/Early Oct (cant remember exactly but was not long after boy was born).

If I break 100 I will be happy!

Only played 9 full rounds last year and had a good few in the 80s. I did play a lot of 9 hole par 3 golf though which I have yet to do this year (cant remember if the last time I snuck out for 9 was last year or January).

Flippin eck ave been out three times this week. Though the weather has been fantastic up here.

Had a hernia op which I thought was going to be a doddle, I was wrong :)

I'm a nomad golfer for now

Didn't realise how lucky I was until reading this! Iv managed to play 18 every Friday of 2016, minimum of 9 holes on a Sunday and the odd 18 mid week on my day off! And still can't wait for summer to hit. 54 holes a week incoming!

I've played less than half what I would have normally this year so far and it shows in my consistency.
I need to play regularly to keep things going and my short game is utter tripe at the moment.
Weather seems to be improving, let's hope we can all play a bit more👍

Playing on Wednesday at The Berkshire. My 1st game since November 1st. I'd settle for 36 points.

blimey Rob ,my exile was forced on me but you not playing since nov1 ,i couldnt have a self imposed break like that .
I have had two small visits to the driving range this week and thats it since last august. will be a while before im on the course .

Apart from sessions on the range not stepped foot on a course since end of October. Weather, winter, other weekend commitments and no real desire to play in windy damp conditions off temp tees to temp greens, Hoping to start next week.

Hopefully teeing it up on Monday for 1st game since October
( 4 holes with wayman and hurricane frank not counting )
Self imposed, yes
Poor weather, causing lack of interest
Winter golf in the north east is pointless at times
Most courses, forward tees, short course, temp greens, plodge around.....no fun

Been to the range quite a bit lately, but not quite the same

Pretty sure the last time I played was September. Bought some hand warmers and mitts ready for the winter, haven't been used once. Don't think I've even been down the range since January. Anyone want to move to Australia...?
