Mixed emotions today. Was hitting the ball as well as I have done for a while.Front nine was one under H/C 44(35) ticking over nicely.Got to the 12th par 3 206yds into the wind. Took the driver and tried to force the shot a bit. It balloned up and left but stayed in bounds and I went on to make a 4. Got to the 13th tee with 12th tee shot still in my mind went onto put 4 balls out of bounds. That was it then lost all interest and N/R . I was 2 under H/C at the time.On a brighter note tho it looks like my doubles partner has won the medal. He shot 78(63)

That is the problem with medal. One mistake is all it takes. I was playing pretty steady on Saturday until I got to the 12th and then hit two balls into a hazard(original and provisional). Not only were they new balls freshly acquired at the 10th but everyone advised me to drop at the point where the ball had crossed the hazard but I wanted to beleive it may be findable (it really was 1000 to 1 that it had made the carry). Fortunately it was only a friendly stableford but like you I couldn't shake it from my mind and drove the ball pretty badly from there on in.

I'm sorry to hear about your 4 OOBS. It sounds as if you were doing well up until then.
Always take away positives from your round. You were playing well until that point. Next time you will play well for more holes until your blowout, until one day you will play well for all 18.
The bad news is, when you do play well someone else shoots net 63 and you still wont win Jack sh*t
I suspect your partner wont be off 15 for much longer. Given the chance, I would chop him to 7 or 8, depending on the SSS.
