Played in the monthly medal today,It was bloody freezing.Been alright if the wind died down a bit.Shot A 93(75) which I was happy with.Short game was lef wanting a bit at times. Annoying thing was taking a 7 on the par4 10th SI 18 followed by a 6 on the 11th.The winner came in with a net 71 so I wasnt to far off the pace. Really happy with how my games coming along now, cant wait for warmer weather

Not a bad effort considering the weather. Only 4 shots off the pace so those 2 dodgy holes cost you bad!

What part of Oxfordshire are you?
Which club?

I played in our Monthly Medal yesterday and shot 90, nett 69 for 33 Stableford points, with two blobs at the 8th and the 18th, so was pretty happy with that.

The December and January Medals were both cancelled because of the weather, so it was nice to get round yesterday before the snow came on!!

Why medal at this time of year? Pretty stupid question that, a medal is a medal, it keeps your competative head in check, it keeps you thinking about every shot and its good fun. I would rather medal every time than a meaningless bouce game where you pick up from 5 feet brcause the greens are a bit bumpy.

Medals are also usually non counters so its really a win win situation.
